In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial and Commercial Operations Analyst to join our team. This role involves analysing financial data, providing insights, and supporting strategic decision-making for our commercial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of financial principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to optimize commercial operations.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide financial analysis and recommendations.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within a commercial or operations context.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, with experience using advanced formulas, functions, and data visualization tools.
• Solid understanding of financial & commercial management principles, including accounting, budgeting, financial modeling, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
• Strong and demonstrable stakeholder management skills.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools like SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of commercial operations, supply chain management, or related fields.
• Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience of resource management, effort estimating, pricing, contract, forecasting and invoicing.
• Team leading experience.
