Company Overview

Our client M-Four is a leading consultancy specialising in Stock Condition Surveys, Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), and property insights across Scotland. They are committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the property sector. As part of their expansion, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager with a foundational background in surveying to join our team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support for Surveying Activities: Assist in coordinating and scheduling building surveys, including Stock Condition Surveys and EPCs. Provide logistical support to the survey teams on-site.
  • Project Administration: Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day project tasks, including organising meetings, taking minutes, and updating project schedules.
  • Client Interaction: Help respond to client enquiries, providing updates and ensuring client needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Data Handling: Assist in collecting, reviewing, and entering survey data into project management systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Support the preparation of project documentation, including survey reports, risk assessments, and progress updates.
  • Quality Control: Conduct basic checks on survey outputs to ensure they meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Health & Safety: Assist the Project Manager in implementing health and safety procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning to develop a deeper understanding of project management and surveying practices.

Essential Skills

  • A degree in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • This is an entry-level role, so no previous project management experience is required. However, any experience or internships related to building surveying, property inspection, or construction will be considered advantageous
  • Outstanding organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A high-level of IT literacy, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
  • The ability to focus and remain calm when working to deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a strong desire to build a career in project management
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, iSurvey) or project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) is a plus but not required
