Job description

EMBRACE THE TECH REVOLUTION

Our CIO Delivery Team are at the heart of delivering complex technology projects, driving innovation, and enabling collaboration across technical teams. As a Project Management Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting the rollout of innovative tech solutions at Virgin Media O2, all while earning a starting salary of £25,000!

Make things happen

As an apprentice, you’ll be right at the core of bringing technical solutions to life – learning by doing and building skills that will excel you in your career. You’ll be working closely with experienced Project Managers, Business Analysts and Solutions Architects to understand how large-scale technology projects are delivered in a fast-paced environment. This is about building your confidence in real-world tech delivery and gaining hands-on experience with Agile project management methodologies, from Waterfall to Agile. You’ll see how big ideas turn into action through iterative, hands-on delivery. Day-to-day, you could be:

- Keeping projects on track – With support and guidance, you’ll help manage workflows and project plans, stay connected with stakeholders, work alongside others, and make sure things are delivered on time.

- Shaping the roadmap – You’ll help put together clear, simple roadmaps that show where we’re heading and how we’ll get there. This might include breaking projects into stages, spotting what needs to happen when, and helping highlight any risks.

- Clearing the way – You'll play a part in spotting and solving anything that could slow us down. That means helping remove roadblocks, raising any issues early, and making sure teams have what they need to keep things moving.

With inclusivity at our hearts, we’re 100% committed to having a workforce that represents every part of our society, so we’re keen to hear from candidates of all backgrounds and circumstances. The only barrier to applying would be if you didn’t have the right to work in the UK and were unable to obtain it without our support.

What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?

This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to become skilled in your role, and combines on the job learning and academic study, where you’ll spend approximately 20% of your working hours completing learning with one of our training providers. As part of the programme, you’ll complete coursework and a final assessment but don’t worry, you’ll be well-supported throughout your learning journey. After completion, you’ll receive a nationally recognised qualification.

Who we are

Together, we offer the UK more choice and better value, through our boundary-pushing, customer-championing values and ambitions. Together, we are Virgin Media O2, and we can't wait to see what you can do.
