Job description

Job Summary

The Project Leader is responsible for creating project plans and delivering the project/program results on time, within budget, and within scope to the desired specifications. They monitor the status of each project to ensure appropriate actions are taken at the right time to achieve results that benefit the Fresenius Kabi Trade and Compliance program, while effectively communicating with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  1. Focuses on projects of small complexity and short-term time frames, typically one year or less, related to Trade and Compliance. This may involve regulations from US agencies such as Customs, FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.
  2. Establishes project stakeholders, requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  3. Leads projects from initiation through closeout, including planning, implementation, monitoring, control, and dissemination of results.
  4. Monitors budget and project progress, ensuring timelines are met.
  5. Efficiently manages internal and external resources (staff, equipment, vendors, consultants) to achieve business solutions within project guidelines. Drives the team by setting objectives, defining priorities, and maintaining focus and accountability.
  6. Prepares and presents progress reports to senior management.
  7. Responsible for running all ACE (US Automated Commercial Environment) Portal reports as required.
  8. Creates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  9. Maintains reporting relationships with project stakeholders, including team members, senior management, customers, vendors, and other departments, to coordinate efforts and ensure continuous project management.
  10. Assists in identifying and resolving Customs and Trade issues that may impact project, department, or corporate goals. Recognizes potential threats and escalates issues to senior management. Develops and implements contingency plans.
  11. Continuously develops project management skills through training, seminars, and certifications.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
  13. Ensures compliance with Global Compliance SOPs, company policies, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Customs and Trade.
  • Familiarity with Customs ACE Portal and report generation.
  • Strong knowledge of Customs regulations.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment is strongly preferred.
  • Previous project management experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15%.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in standard business applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
