A community health organisation is seeking a Project Lead for the Bolton Tobacco Control Service. The ProjectLead will assist the Head of Service for the development and operationalmanagement of the Bolton Tobacco Control Service in the community. This is aleadership role where the post holder will have a real influence on theclinical and operational excellence of this service. The post holder will takea pro-active lead in building relationships, partnerships and alliances in thecommunity, secondary care, and primary care settings, and supporting specialiststop smoking practitioners in these areas to deliver outcomes that benefitclients referred to the service.
The post holder must haveextensive knowledge and hands-on experience in public health orbehaviour-change settings.
The role involves managing a delivery team and working with stakeholders, commissioners, and local partners to drive service improvement under the 'ABL Way' framework. Key responsibilities include managing the Smoking Cessation project budget, resource allocation, and scheduling to meet KPIs. The postholder will oversee quality assurance, monitor project progress, address issues, and contribute to quarterly reporting. Additional duties include staff performance management, client feedback analysis, chairing meetings, presenting reports to the Portfolio Delivery Board, and working with specialist leads to ensure high-quality service delivery. A solution-focused approach to project planning and service development is essential.

Your key responsibilities will be:
The Project Lead will provide operational leadership and management with overall responsibility and accountability for delivering project outputs and outcomes of the service across Bolton. The post holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that delivery outcomes are achieved.
The post holder will ensure services are delivered and developed to provide high quality, safe and effective packages of support that respond to the needs of the client and have a positive impact on the wider community in accordance with contractual obligations and the philosophy of ABL.
The post holder, along with the Head of Service and key stakeholders, will play a key part in integrating the service into the wider behaviour change programme across Bolton.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
