About the role

Balfour Beatty has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Interface Manager to join our high-performing Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team, leading delivery on the National Grid ad DNO projects

This is a unique chance to be part of a critical infrastructure project supporting the UK's energy transition - all while working within a collaborative and expert team, where flexible working is embraced and career development is a priority

What you'll be doing

  • Provide a professional, first class, consistent and effective operations
    expertise service to sponsors and project / programme teams in accordance
    with Balfour Beatty Power TD policy.
  • Leading on project interface during each phase of the major project /
    programme of works throughout the gated lifecycle.
  • Lead the development of the operational requirements during project
    development including review and acceptance of key project products e.g.,
    operations and control strategy.
  • Lead and oversee all necessary modelling of proposals affecting the route in
    order to confirm the most appropriate solution is selected to deliver business
    requirements.
  • Lead the review and acceptance of documentation to verify that all necessary
    operational requirements have been accommodated and that risk
    assessments have been undertaken and reviewed to check that relevant
    operational principles are complied with and all necessary operational and
    maintenance requirements can be met

Who we're looking for

  • Significant successful experience in an operational role
  • Must have previous experience of managing external stakeholders on large
    scale projects
  • Experience on large scale construction projects and understanding of legislative
    and planning requirements.
  • Good understanding of construction programmes
  • Able to lead and manage meetings with external bodies, acting as a main point
    of contact for the business.
  • Qualified to degree or equivalent in Civil engineering / Highway Engineering or
    similar
  • Experience with managing Traffic management
  • Experience with interface and liaison with local authority councils
  • Experience on Utility construction schemes involving excavation and
    reinstatement of the highway.
  • Adaptable and able to respond to change.
  • Proven strategic leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
