Contract Instrument & Control Project Engineer (Site-Based)

Location: Central Belt, Scotland

Type: 12-month contract

IR35 Status: Expected to be Outside IR35

Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role:

Engenda Group is looking for an experienced Instrument & Control Project Engineer to join us on a long-term site-based contract in Central Scotland.

You’ll be working on a key client site, supporting the delivery of instrumentation and control projects from design through to commissioning. The role requires a hands-on, organised engineer who’s confident working independently while coordinating with wider project teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering instrumentation and control engineering on site.
  • Reviewing and producing specifications, drawings, and documentation.
  • Supporting installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and site safety procedures.
  • Working closely with project teams, vendors, and site stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A background in instrumentation and control within the energy, chemical or process sectors.
  • Previous experience in a similar site-based engineering role.
  • Good working knowledge of UK standards (IEC, BS EN etc.).
  • HNC/Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
