About the Role
As a Generator Installation Engineer at WBPS, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality generator installations across the UK. You’ll be working on-site, often at customer locations, sometimes staying away from home when required (typically Monday to Friday), and collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow installation plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Use your mechanical or electrical skills to fit, connect and commission equipment.
  • Attend project meetings, report updates, and liaise with the Project Manager.
  • Maintain high standards of H&S, environmental compliance, and quality control.
  • Keep accurate records using our in-house digital systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.

What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served engineer or NVQ Level 3 qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Generator experience is preferred, but we’ll consider transferable skills.
  • Comfortable working away from home when needed.
  • Able to read and complete risk assessments confidently.
  • Strong communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work at pace in varied environments.

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience and location)
  • Door-to-door pay
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours
  • Company van and fuel card
  • 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Training and upskilling opportunities
  • Private healthcare cover
  • Death in service benefit
  • Excellent employee assistance programme
  • Clear routes for long-term progression in a growing, values-led business
