Project Health Safety Environment Manager

JAB Recruitment is currently looking to source a Project HSE Manager on behalf of our client, a leading company in the energy sector. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Kingston Upon Thames. Our client is seeking a highly skilled individual to lead a Project HSE Team to ensure the correct development, implementation, and monitoring of project safety management systems throughout current and future projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working for an IMCA contractor, along with 3+ years in a Project HSE Manager role.

Overview

As a Project HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Project HSE Team, ensuring the safe execution of projects through effective safety management systems. You will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and Developing an HSE Team: Lead and mentor a team of HSE professionals to ensure the safe delivery of projects.
  • HSE Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of HSE aspects within contracts.
  • Knowledge of IOGP and IMCA Standards: Ensure compliance with industry safety standards, including IOGP and IMCA guidelines.
  • Subcontractor Management and Evaluation: Evaluate and manage subcontractors to ensure they meet HSE requirements.
  • Develop and Maintain Project Deliverables: Ensure HSE-related deliverables are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead Risk Management Process: Take the lead in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
  • Facilitate HSE Readiness Reviews: Conduct readiness reviews to ensure project safety compliance.
  • Ensure Compliance with Contractual and Regulatory Requirements: Maintain compliance with all relevant contractual and regulatory HSE requirements.
  • Plan and Conduct Internal HSE Audits: Plan, conduct, and report on internal HSE audits to ensure safety standards are being met.
  • Lead Investigations: Lead HSE investigations into incidents and accidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree-level qualification and HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years working for an IMCA contractor and at least 3 years of Project HSE Management experience.
  • Certification: Auditor and investigation certification required. Preferably Chartered MIOSH.
