Position: Project Engineering Manager

Location: Stoke on Trent, ST4 6PH

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum, Depending On Experience

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week

We are recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager to join our established Engineering department at our Mr Kipling bakery in Stoke on Trent, where we produce the nation's favourite Mr Kipling cakes.

What You Will Be Doing

1. Developing a pipeline of suitable projects, including feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
2. Leading the compilation of capital authority request documentation and narratives.
3. Engaging end users in the development of engineering scope.
4. Developing functional design specifications in compliance with engineering and Premier specifications.
5. Selecting preferred suppliers through a robust process, including appropriate contracts.
6. Managing all health and safety aspects of capital projects, including CDM requirements.
7. Reporting project progress, tracking milestones, activities, priorities, and financials.
8. Ensuring compliance at pre-delivery milestones and user acceptance test protocols.
9. Managing key resources through to project delivery.
10. Overseeing post-delivery processes such as installation, commissioning, and training.

What We Need From You

1. An Engineering Degree or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in Food/FMCG sectors.
3. Extensive capital project management experience with a customer focus.
4. Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., IEE 17th Edition, DSEAR).
5. A proven track record in delivering engineering capital projects in FMCG, emphasizing specification, integration, and implementation.
6. Proficiency in CAD and MS Project.
7. Experience with control system and PLC design/specifications.
8. Strong working knowledge of Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems.
