Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Project Engineering Lead to guide the engineering effort for an advanced Tempest IPT product line. You will lead cross-site teams, ensure technical quality, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders.

The role is permanent with hybrid working and UK travel. You will mentor the engineering team, align with the IPT lead, and support Make/Buy decisions while maintaining rigorous technical risk management.

Qualifications

• Ability to produce clear concise engineering plans.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in leading multi-site engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering aspects of projects ensuring quality, schedule and budget.
• Manage cross-site, multi-disciplinary teams and define roles clearly.
• Maintain communications with customers, partners and internal IPT leadership.
• Collaborate with Systems Design Authority on progress, risks and mitigations.
• Ensure solutions meet end-user requirements and are well documented.
