A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager for a contract role in Preston. The candidate must have nuclear experience and a minimum of 2 years in project management, along with an HNC in Engineering. Job title: Project Engineer / Project Manager
Job Type: Contract
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Rate: 45 - 50
Start date: ASAP subject to clearance
Location: Preston
Hours of work: 37 hours per week - 3 days on site, 2 days from home

Role information:
Planning, directing and coordinating the team's activities to manage and implement projects and/or interrelated projects from initiation to final close down.
Controls project requirements, scope and change management issues.
Determines, monitors and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
Identifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirements
Plans, schedules, monitors and reports on activities related to the project.
Undertakes status review meetings among project team members and customers. Advises Senior Management on project management opportunity and risk
Creates communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information exchange among key stakeholders
Providing project status reports including commonly used project metrics and key performance indicators

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Nuclear experience
Project management/Project delivery experience (2 years minimum)
Minimum HNC in Engineering
APM/PMI
Full Lifecycle experience
Experience with NEC contracts

UK National Security Vetting Status - Candidates must be able to gain SC Clearance
