Job summary

IKM Testing UK is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in Process Services to join our Aberdeen operations team. You will support operational delivery across multiple projects, acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with our procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas within Pipeline and/or Process Industry.
• Sound technical knowledge of Pipeline and/or Process operations and equipment.
• Experience in budgeting, profit & loss, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with 2D and basic 3D drawing packages.

Job description

IKM Testing is looking for a Project Engineer with experience in Process Services to join our operations team in Aberdeen. In this role, you will support operational delivery across multiple projects, acting as a key point of contact for both clients and internal teams. You will help ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with IKM’s procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare project documentation, reports, and contract deliverables.
• Assist with tender preparation, including method statements, equipment lists, and pricing schedules.
• Act as a key project focal point for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and monitor job performance and daily site activities.
• Support and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Contribute improvement suggestions through the Pipeline Department’s Improvement Tracker.
• Review and interpret operational requirements from project contracts, ensuring all procedures and deadlines are met.
• Ensure QA, Quality, and HSE requirements are fully adhered to.
• Attend client visits and provide technical support to Business Development.
• Support daily operational tasks and provide on‑the‑job guidance to site teams.
• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a strong safety culture.
• Assist with planning and monitoring progress against deadlines, work packs, procedures, and management of change processes.
• Conduct/support daily Toolbox Talks and ensure PPE compliance.
• Support creation of Project Quality Plans, Risk Assessments, Safe Job Analysis, and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IKM Testing UK policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel and undertake offshore visits when required.

What We're Looking For

Experience Required

• Must have previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry within the Pipeline and/or Process Industry.
• Sound technical knowledge of Pipeline and/or Process operations and equipment used.
• Experience in budget ownership, profit and loss, and financial reporting.
• Relevant computer design skills in both 2D and Basic 3D drawing packages.

Preferred:

• Experience in a mechanical background.
• Experience within the project environment
