Lead Innovation in Precast Design - Join Explore Manufacturing, part of Laing O'Rourke, as a Project Engineer

Are you passionate about engineering excellence and driving innovation in offsite manufacturing?

Do you want to be at the forefront of shaping the UK's most advanced DfMA projects?

We're looking for a Project Engineer - Technical Leader to join our Precast Technical Solutions (PTS) team, based at Explore Industrial Park. This is your opportunity to provide specialist leadership in the delivery of precast and DfMA solutions across some of the UK's most iconic infrastructure and building projects.

About the Role

As a key member of our PTS team, you'll:

• Lead technical input on the design, handling, and installation of bespoke precast concrete components.
• Collaborate across project and manufacturing teams to optimise designs for safety, performance, and manufacture.
• Influence major project outcomes from early feasibility through to delivery, ensuring DfMA principles are maximised.
• Guide and challenge the supply chain to deliver technically robust, product-led solutions.

What You'll Bring

• A background in structural or civil engineering with strong design, detailing, and DfMA experience (ideally precast).
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical manufacturing-led solutions.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
• Chartered or working toward chartership preferred.
