The team is fully focused on delivering quality service to the client from the beginning to ensure a seamless transition from engineering to execution.


Partner with the best


Responsible for delivering project engineering services while maintaining full compliance with Global Engineering standards. Liaise with the Operations Manager and Project Managers to balance workload and meet client deadlines. Support the development of engineers through mentoring in the Totara career program and assist the Operations team as needed.


The role is based in Aberdeen, with responsibilities involving engineering support in Great Yarmouth, including potential site visits.


As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  • Completing all PPS procedures to global standards.
  • Understanding Nitrogen/helium procedure writing.
  • Supporting Project Account Managers and small to medium projects.
  • Assisting UK sales with developing profitable service offerings in the oil and gas industry.
  • Reporting opportunities for additional work and revenue.
  • Participating in the on-call rota.
  • Recommending best practices for the P&M department and implementing them.
  • Recommending capital purchases and providing technical input for commercial documents.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of engineering work.
  • Completing weekly engineering sheets.
  • Participating in departmental meetings.
  • Maintaining close working relationships with Application Engineering.
  • Adhering to BHI policies and SOPs.
  • Keeping personal competencies up to date.
  • Supporting Engineering competency signoff.
  • Reviewing site visits with Project Managers for accuracy.
  • Working independently with guidance as needed.
  • Providing technical guidance to Field Engineers.
  • Ensuring timekeeping compliance.
  • Forecasting resource needs and advising Project Managers.
  • Assisting operations during holidays or absenteeism.

To succeed, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) or HND with relevant experience.
  • Ability to carry out engineering scopes for Process and Pipelines.
  • Understanding of Process and Pipeline operations.
  • Knowledge of customer requirements and procedures.
  • Experience in Nitrogen/helium procedure writing.
  • Understanding of operational processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Oracle (advantageous).
  • Ability to interact with staff, contractors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and Centrum.
  • UK offshore survival and medical training.
  • UK passport/work permit, no future sponsorship required.

  • Flexible hours between 0730-1700hrs, 37.5 hours/week.
  • Hybrid work: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote, once competent.
