Proserv is seeking a Project Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support subsea and topside control system delivery for global customers. The role is based at our Subsea Centre of Excellence in Great Yarmouth and involves working across the full engineering lifecycle from design through to delivery.

You will develop hydraulic, pneumatic and instrumentation-based controls, produce engineering documentation, perform calculations, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification, ideally BEng or equivalent.
• Understanding of industrial mechanical and hydraulic control systems.
• Experience or knowledge of subsea and/or topside controls projects.
• Understanding of fluid dynamics and/or structural calculations.
• Experience with engineering calculation and analysis software such as MathCAD, CS8 or RFEM.
• Familiarity with CAD systems, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of materials and their properties.
• Understanding of hazardous area equipment selection, installation and maintenance.
• Experience of on-site/offshore commissioning or fault-finding.

What You Need To Know

Proserv is looking for a Project Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to support the delivery of innovative subsea and topside solutions to global customers.

This is an opportunity to work across the engineering lifecycle, from design through to delivery and beyond. You will join our experienced and dynamic team working at our Subsea Centre of Excellence based in Great Yarmouth.

As a Project Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers and colleagues across the business to develop hydraulic, pneumatic and instrumentation-based control systems, producing the technical documentation required to support their delivery.

Our Engineering team designs and supports industrial control systems for the energy sector, delivering innovative subsea and topside solutions to customers around the world. This is an opportunity to work across the full engineering lifecycle, from design and calculations through to manufacture, testing and commissioning.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

• Designing and implementing subsea and topside control systems.

The majority of your work will be based at our Great Yarmouth facility, although there will be opportunities to support site activities, commissioning, testing and customer projects both in the UK and overseas.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

You'll have an engineering qualification, ideally at BEng level or equivalent (please still apply if you have a HNC/HND or equivalent), alongside an understanding of industrial mechanical and hydraulic control systems.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Experience or knowledge of subsea and/or topside controls projects.
• An understanding of fluid dynamics and/or structural calculations.
• Experience with engineering calculation and analysis software such as MathCAD, CS8 or RFEM.
• Familiarity with CAD systems, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk products.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of materials and their properties.
• Understanding of hazardous area equipment selection, installation and maintenance.
• Experience of on-site/offshore commissioning or fault-finding.

You'll also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and deliver within time and cost constraints.

Please note that due to the nature of the role, a valid UK driving license and passport are required, together with the ability to maintain an offshore survival certificate where applicable.
