Overview

We’re working with a leading building services contractor who has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer (mechanical bias) to join their Yorkshire team. This role offers the chance to take a key role in delivering a major healthcare project starting this summer, with further long-term opportunities in the pipeline. As Project Engineer, you’ll ensure works are engineered to specification and delivered safely, profitably, and to client satisfaction. This is a permanent staff position offering career progression and excellent benefits.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Promoting a Safety First culture across all project activities
  • Supporting pre-commencement planning to maximise efficiency and profitability
  • Reviewing project scope and ensuring client requirements are met
  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities
  • Delivering engineering solutions aligned to commercial objectives
  • Leading and mentoring project team members within your remit
  • Overseeing subcontractor resources where applicable
  • Building strong client relationships and ensuring successful project closeout
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projects, ideally £10m+
  • Recognised trade or professional mechanical qualification
  • Strong background in large-scale mechanical installations within construction
  • Leadership ability with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
