Job summary

PWE Recruitment Group is helping to source a Project Engineer to support a major programme on the Hinkley Point C project in the UK. You will work closely with the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate activities, manage interfaces, and ensure safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met.

The role involves developing essential project documentation, governance, and delivery plans, plus ongoing progress tracking and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience working within large-scale infrastructure, engineering, nuclear, energy, or construction projects.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing schedules, project documentation, risks, and interfaces.
• Knowledge of project governance and delivery processes.
• Membership of, or a commitment to working towards, a recognised professional body such as APM, RICS, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day management of project activities to ensure successful delivery against programme objectives.
• Defining scopes of work and managing interfaces across contracts and project packages.
• Coordinating the delivery of assigned projects, tasks, and work packages in accordance with project procedures and governance requirements.
• Developing and maintaining key project documentation including Project Definition Documents, Project Briefs, and Quality Plans.
• Supporting the development and implementation of project execution strategies and delivery plans.
• Monitoring project progress, tracking milestones, and reporting on performance to key stakeholders.
• Managing contract and package interfaces to ensure effective collaboration and project integration.
• Promoting strong stakeholder engagement and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Working collaboratively with engineering, commercial, planning, quality, and delivery teams to achieve programme objectives.
