Job summary

Enable Resourcing seeks an experienced Project Engineer – Major Civils to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering complex infrastructure works across Central London. Based between site and the King's Cross office, you will coordinate technical delivery and support the PM team to ensure safe, compliant execution of works.

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Engineer on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil construction processes.
• Experience managing engineering teams on complex projects.
• Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• SMSTS qualification.
• CSCS card holder.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical delivery across civil engineering works.
• Review drawings and technical documentation.
• Liaise with design consultants and site teams.
• Ensure works are buildable and compliant with specifications.
• Support planning and sequencing of works.
• Monitor progress against programme requirements.
• Manage Site Engineers and engineering teams.
• Oversee inspections, testing and QA processes.
• Maintain accurate as-built records and technical documentation.
• Support procurement of materials and subcontractors.

Job description

Enable Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer – Major Civils to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering complex infrastructure works across Central London.

Based between site and the King's Cross office, this role will take responsibility for engineering coordination, technical delivery and support to the Project Management team to ensure safe, compliant and efficient execution of works.

You will play a key role in maintaining engineering standards across major civils packages.

Key Responsibilities

As Project Engineer, you will coordinate technical delivery across civil engineering works.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing drawings and technical documentation
• Managing and resolving design queries
• Liaising with design consultants and site teams
• Ensuring works are buildable and compliant with specifications
• Supporting planning and sequencing of works
• Monitoring progress against programme requirements
• Managing Site Engineers and engineering teams
• Overseeing inspections, testing and quality assurance processes
• Maintaining accurate as-built records and technical documentation
• Supporting procurement of materials and subcontractors
• Assisting with commercial reporting and project coordination

You will ensure that engineering delivery supports programme, safety and quality objectives across complex London infrastructure projects.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Engineer within major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering construction processes
• Experience managing engineering teams on complex projects
• Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary stakeholders
• SMSTS
• CSCS card

You will be technically strong, organised and proactive, capable of managing engineering delivery within a high-value project environment.
