A leading company in the advertising sector is seeking a Project Engineer for its London team. This role is crucial for supporting major CAPEX projects by providing engineering and technical guidance while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, helping to shape outdoor advertising through innovative engineering solutions.
Your new role
Based in the Global Outdoor Operations team and reporting to the Technical Director, this role supports major CAPEX projects, delivering advertising assets across the TfL network. From bespoke large LED screens or multi-location LCD screens you’ll be our engineering expert.
As a multi-disciplined (civils / structural bias preferable) Project Engineer with experience in TfL, rail, or construction sectors working within the NEC contract framework, you’ll play a crucial role in providing engineering, technical and buildability advice for your aspect of the project. You’ll assist the Project Managers negotiate through the technical and engineering aspects of the project.
You’ll coordinate technical elements, manage design and quality assurance, and oversee on-site engineering as needed. Working across projects, you’ll ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards, collaborating with stakeholders, contractors, and other engineering specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Project Support and Coordination
Provide Technical expertise into the project
Confirm Project Scope
Assist Project Manager(s) to align technical aspects with project objectives.
Track project progress, identify delays, and implement mitigation.
Technical Design Review and Implementation
Review engineering designs for electrical, civil, and communications.
Ensure compliance with TfL, Rail, Airport and other industry standards (as appropriate)
Approve or adjust designs based on project needs and site conditions.
Site Inspection and Quality Control
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design.
Resolve on-site technical issues efficiently, ensuring safety and quality.
Stakeholder and Contractor Engagement
Collaborate with stakeholders to align requirements and manage expectations.
Communicate technical needs, clarify details, and ensure accurate execution.
