Project Engineer

Location: Newport

Salary: 6-month contract upto £400 per day

Shift: Days

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team within a leading industrial processing business. In this role, you will manage and support a range of engineering projects across our Group's sites, from conception through to handover.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

  1. Oversee site-based projects involving plant equipment and infrastructure.
  2. Supervise contractors, ensuring strict adherence to HSEQ and site management systems.
  3. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to coordinate installations with minimal downtime.
  4. Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and documentation.
  5. Conduct technical reviews, design assessments, and HAZOPs.
  6. Represent the company at meetings, events, and external site visits.
  7. Chair project meetings and build effective relationships across Group functions.

Skills required for the Project Engineer:

  1. Proven experience managing diverse engineering projects.
  2. Degree in Engineering/Project Management.
  3. Strong technical, organisational, and communication skills.
  4. Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and timelines effectively.
