Job summary

Greencore Boston Salads is seeking a Project Engineer to design, plan and deploy engineering solutions that enhance site assets. You will manage installation, commissioning and documentation for new equipment to maintain productivity and standards.

The role requires hands-on project delivery experience, with familiarity in coordinating contractors and using project management tools. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in project delivery using recognised methods (PMI/PRINCE2 preferred).
• Experience managing contractors and external suppliers to deliver safely, on time and within scope.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or similar project management software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver installation and commissioning of new equipment with minimal disruption to productivity.
• Ensure new equipment drawings and preventative maintenance are transferred to maintenance files.
• Develop URS to align objectives and standards for project planning.
• Create AutoCAD drawings from designs provided by project managers.
• Assist in design costings or installation under supervision for large projects.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Engineer, you will be designing, planning and deploying engineering solutions which enhance the capability of the assets on site. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Planning and delivering the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing productivity
• Ensuring new equipment drawings and preventative maintenance recommendations are transferred to the maintenance teams files
• Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS) to ensure the clear and common understanding of agreed objectives and standards are established as the basis for project planning
• Taking designs from engineering project managers and creating AutoCAD drawings as specifications
• Following the direction given, by an engineering project manager, to complete design costings or installation as part of large projects

What We're Looking For

As a Project Engineer, you will utilise your experience in project delivery on a daily basis and will ideally be:

• Experienced in project delivery with supporting knowledge and recognised project delivery method such as PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification (desirable)
• Experienced in managing contractors and external suppliers to ensure project activities are delivered safely, on time, within scope and in line with site standards.
• Able to use Microsoft Suite, or equivalent project management software to report on project progress
• Willingness to learn AutoCAD or similar design software to produce design specifications
• Holds a Level 3 Food hygiene qualification (desirable)
• Qualified and able to assess machinery safety
