Job summary

Chubb Fire & Security Ltd seeks an experienced Project Engineer to deliver high-security system projects across the UK. You will coordinate with Project Managers, clients and installation teams to ensure safe, on-time handover within budget.

The role requires strong technical delivery, in-depth knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and IT infrastructure, and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Security Systems or related field.
• ECS/CSCS Card or willingness to obtain one.
• SMSTS/SSSTS and UK driving licence required; SC clearance or willingness to be screened.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work on site.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation and commissioning of integrated security systems from design to handover.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise installation activities of engineers and subcontractors.
• Evolve project plans, schedules and resource requirements.
• Monitor progress, ensure milestones are met and provide updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and technical issues.
• Support handover activities including documentation and client training.
• Conduct site surveys and meetings; produce schematics and documentation.

Job description

We're looking to add an experienced Project Engineer within High Security here at Chubb Fire & Security. This is a key hire for us, working with key national infrastructure projects across the UK. The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical delivery of integrated security system projects, from implementation through to completion and handover. Working closely with the Project Manager, clients, subcontractors and installation teams, the role coordinates technical and site activities to ensure solutions are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, on programme and within agreed budgets Chubb Fire & Security have been protecting people and assets worldwide for more than 200 years. Responsibilities:

• Manage the installation and commissioning of Integrated security systems from initial design through project completion. including Electrical Installations and Civil works.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise the installation and commissioning activities of engineers and subcontractors on site.
• Evolve project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress, ensure milestones are achieved and provide progress updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and technical issues.
• Support project handover activities, including documentation and client training.
• Conduct site surveys, operational visits and site meetings.
• Produce schematics, and engineering documentation.

Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge:

• HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field.
• ECS/ CSCS Card or willingness to obtain one.
• SMSTS / SSSTS Full UK Driving Licence SC Clearance or agreement to be screened to this level.
• Ability to work at customer sites and travel as required.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical/electronic principles and relevant industry standards.
• Proven experience in project delivery of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Perimeter Detection, IT Infrastructure and Integrated Security Systems.
