JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Project Engineer / Engineering Project Managerwho has experience ideally within the fire protection industry managing full project lifecycles within a similar engineering or project management role.

Working as the Project Engineer / Engineering Project Manageryou will manage the full lifecycle of automatic sprinkler system projects from design to installation ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

As the Project Engineer / Engineering Project Manageryou will be expected to run multiple jobs of varying sizes. Multi-Works contracts are anything from 5k to 2.5million and cover the whole spectrum of system types and standards including special risk.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Project Engineer / Engineering Project Managerwill include:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of automatic sprinkler system projects, from initial design through to final installation
  • Produce and review technical drawings and specifications, overseeing procurement, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design standards, attend project handovers and client meetings, and monitor progress against project timelines
  • Prepare and manage risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation, while maintaining accurate as-fitted drawings and project records
  • Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with internal teams, support junior engineers, and help foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Contribute to company initiatives, training, and continuous improvement efforts

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a similar engineering/project management role
  • Knowledge of BSEN 12845, BS9251, NFPA, FM Global standards
  • Competency in AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (, FHC)
  • Revit design experience is a desirable skill.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A customer-focused mindset and attention to detail
  • Valid UK driving licence
