Job summary

Powersystems UK Ltd is hiring an Electrical Project Engineer – Renewable Energy in Glasgow. You will lead HV project delivery, coordinate resources and ensure compliance across 33kV to 400kV assets.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in HV/electrical engineering, strong technical and communication skills, and a UK driving licence, with a view to delivering UK utility-scale renewables projects.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience within HV/electrical engineering companies
• Well-developed technical, communication and commercial skills
• Experience of managing projects within a similar industry

Responsibilities

• Manage high-voltage renewable energy projects (£1m–£30m) from start to finish, with support from Senior Project Engineers
• Identify, coordinate and manage the resources needed to meet project objectives and customer expectations
• Uphold technical excellence across projects ranging from 33kV–400kV
• Maintain compliance with H&S requirements, supporting our Priority No.1 commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing
• Work with departments across the business to ensure design and installation requirements are considered and implemented smoothly
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including DNOs, TSO, suppliers and client contractors

What You’ll Do

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you’ll:

• Manage high-voltage renewable energy projects (£1m–£30m) from start to finish, with support from Senior Project Engineers
• Identify, coordinate and manage the resources needed to meet project objectives and customer expectations

What We’re Looking For - Project Management/Engineering

• 2–3 years’ experience within HV/electrical engineering companies
• Well-developed technical, communication and commercial skills
• Experience of managing projects within a similar industry
• A degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (HV Systems preferred)
• A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
• Chartered status or working towards IEng/CEng (IET)
