Job Description:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor project delivery, identify risks and opportunities, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize outcomes.
- Assess the 'constructability' of designs and ensure feasibility within timelines.
- Lead construction delivery, ensuring compliance with company protocols.
- Review and approve contractor documents as delegated.
- Support and develop teams, and participate in project steering groups.
- Conduct site surveys and liaise with designers.
- Proofread and approve drawings.
- Serve as a point of contact for site issues.
- Act as Test Team Leader when appropriate.
- Prioritize Zero Harm initiatives.
- Implement systems for a Right First-Time approach.
- Own Handover Documentation.
- Align operational programs with construction timelines.
- Share knowledge with off-site teams.
- Identify long-term training needs.
- Manage subcontractors and advise on commercial risks.
- Support work-winning with technical input.
- Undertake EDF-specific training for various roles.
- Prepare project take-offs and documentation for quotations.
- Create EC&I RAMS & Quality plans for review.
Key Skills required include:
Core:
- Understanding of services discipline, especially EC&I.
- HNC/HND in Electrical or C&I (advantageous).
- Experience in collaborative environments.
- Management of construction operations, including planning and testing.
- Numerate with commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Work ethic and ability to work in small teams.
Health Safety & Environmental:
- Experience in H&S management, including legislation and system improvements.
Production Control:
- Knowledge of design and operational links.
Quality:
- Ability to implement and champion management systems and processes.
