Overview

Project Engineer - District Heating / Energy Infrastructure - Remote/Midlands

I'm working with a fast-growing renewable energy developer delivering city-scale low-carbon heat networks valued at over £750M. The company is rapidly expanding, building a strong reputation in sustainable energy infrastructure, and creating exciting opportunities for talented engineers. Their projects focus on delivering innovative, low-carbon solutions that make a real difference to communities and cities.

Responsibilities
  • Support Project Directors in the planning, coordination, and delivery of district heating schemes
  • Manage technical aspects of district heating network design, pre-construction planning, and contracts
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Contribute to projects from early-stage concept and design through to financial close and investment
  • Assist in the development and coordination of energy centres, network designs, and customer engagement
  • Remote/Midlands-based role with regular site visits and salary up to £60K (DOE)
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skillset with experience in district heating, network design, and pre-construction project delivery. Experience in stakeholder management is highly valuable, as the role involves working closely with multiple project stakeholders to align on design, compliance, and operational objectives. Candidates should be comfortable working within a small, dedicated team and supporting large-scale, long-term projects.
