Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction team in Torrington, Connecticut. The Project Engineer will support project management efforts and field operations by ensuring the effective coordination of resources, documentation , and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Prepare and manage RFI's, submittals, transmittals, and change orders.
  • Maintain project logs (submittals, RFI's, change orders, etc.) and track project progress.
  • Support in procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Attend bid walkthroughs and deliver bids.
  • Procure permits for projects.
  • Collaborate with site superintendents to monitor field progress and resolve issues.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation, including as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in construction project engineering or project coordination.
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites in Connecticut as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field ( or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
