Job summary

A leading infrastructure solutions provider in the UK is seeking a Project Engineer for a critical role in the Defence/Nuclear sector. You will focus on ensuring the successful delivery of passive fire protection on a flagship project, supporting the Project Manager and site teams. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in construction and must hold a CSCS card.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer on construction projects in the UK.
• CSCS card holder.
• Holder or ability to obtain & hold SC clearance is required.

Project Engineer - Construction

Burghfield - onsite

Up to £550 per day OUTSIDE IR35

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer - Construction to join a leading client of ours in the Defence/Nuclear sector. They are a leading infrastructure solutions provider driving innovation across transportation, energy, water, and defence sectors. They are renowned for delivering complex, high-impact projects that support national sustainability and economic growth goals.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of passive fire protection on one of the UK's flagship projects, providing vital support to the Project Manager and site teams across all technical, planning, and coordination activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the site team by interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Support programme development and updates; coordinate subcontractors to align with technical and scheduling needs.
• Uphold high safety standards through regular site inspections and contributions to risk assessments.
• Compile and present regular updates on milestones, risks, and next steps to the Project Manager.

Key skills:

• Experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer on construction projects in the UK.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is highly desirable.
• CSCS card holder.
• Holder or ability to obtain & hold SC (or above) clearance is required.
