A leading engineering company in Coleshill Heath is seeking an experienced engineer to manage high-rise projects. The candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of climbing systems, prepare detailed calculations, and collaborate with technical teams. Ideal applicants should have a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Job description

Responsible for the design and delivery of complex high-rise engineering projects, ensuring the safe, efficient and innovative use of climbing platform and protection systems.

  • Work with PERI colleagues in the delivery of complex high-rise projects, managing the preparation of technical documentation for delivery, fabrication and assembly
  • Prepare and present proposals to customers
  • Support the preparation of offers with technical advice and guidance on both standard and non-standard system applications
  • Create preliminary calculations to support projects during the offer phase and prepare cost calculations
  • Prepare detailed structural calculations, “Proof of Stability” in accordance with UK codes and legislation
  • Work with 3rd party Engineers to evaluate the system design and static proofs
  • Design custom components and produce assembly and fabrication drawings for production

Stand out from the crowd - What distinguishes you
  • University Degree (Civil or Mechanical Engineering), key areas: construction, steel construction, building operations, or similar education such as master craftsperson (Civil or Mechanical Engineering), or technician with sufficient experience and skills
  • 3+ years practical/professional experience in designing climbing systems for high-rise buildings and / or other similar applications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of and experience with CAD software
  • Knowledge of and experience with RSTAB or similar software
