  • Act as a technical interface to component suppliers and surrounding system owners.
  • Support build activities and define production manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with braking system DFMEA and provide input into mechanical DVP requirements and test rig procedures.
  • Support other teams to meet release deadlines and identify opportunities to reduce complexity, cost, and weight.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a complex engineering environment, preferably in automotive or commercial vehicles.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering chassis system components from concept to production, including foundation brakes, electric park brakes, pipes, and hoses.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly requirements.
  • Understanding of rig validation and vehicle structural testing is advantageous.
  • Broad engineering knowledge including material selection, tolerancing, FEA, manufacturing processes, and quality controls.
  • Familiarity with project planning, DFMEA, RCA, DFA, DFM, and PPAP.
