Project Engineer (BOP) / HVAC Engineer

Accountabilities:

1. Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
2. Manage a set area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the HPC project.
3. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, to drive the project to support the safe delivery of the areas on time, to the right quality to the highest safety standards.
4. Ensure the appropriate deliverables are produced on time to ensure no delays to construction activities.
5. Ensure Configuration Control is maintained across the scope Works Information.
6. Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
7. Raise technical queries and monitor progress.

Key Deliverables:

1. Supporting the BOP Building Leads to deliver the scope.
2. Provide a weekly report on progress and update to programme.
3. Productivity reviews and control of hours.
4. Construction method improvement plans.
5. Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience (in line with MEH Onboarding matrix):

1. Qualifications:
2. Relevant degree in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering, or HND/HNC in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering (desirable).
3. Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Major Project Engineering (Construction) role (essential).
4. CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
5. Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher.
6. Professional accreditation (preferred).
7. Navis Works knowledge (desirable).
8. Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract is desirable.
9. Competent in basic IT packages.
10. Experience:
11. Proven experience of safely delivering large scale construction or engineering projects.
12. Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial, as is experience in working within a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
13. Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
