Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $65-85k / Year

Project Engineers assist Project Manager's and their direct reports with daily project management issues and administrative support. Responsibilities will include problem-solving, clerical, data entry, filing, document control and field collaboration. The position requires organization, a motivational attitude and independent work ethics with administrative experience specific to the construction industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for preparing and pricing extra work.
  • Responsible for preparing, processing and tracking submittals as submitted with approval status, change orders, change order proposals, request for quotes, architects supplemental instructions, request for information, correspondence, transmittals, and daily logs.
  • Responsible for processing daily reports of force account worked.
  • Responsible for tracking and filing all paperwork in an organized and timely routine according to company established standards.
  • Responsible for completing any other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
  • Additional management duties based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent decision-making skills, problem solving skills and ability to communicate logical approach to management in a fast-paced office/field setting.
  • Ability to effectively communicate project directives to office and field in the absence of Project Manager.
  • Ability to process data entry intoCoinsdatabase or designated database in a correct and timely manner.
  • Ability to support Project Management and direct reports while setting priorities and handling multiple tasks.
  • Must be meticulously detail oriented with ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to perform daily task including: coping, filing, faxing, mailings, updating schedules and creating forms/spreadsheets.
  • Performs quality control-proofreading and editing while taking initiative to research, develop and enhance processes.
  • Ability to follow through with tasks ensuring a satisfactory and timely completion by taking pride and ownership of work.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, database functions and ability to research and maneuver on the web.
  • Abide by corporate and division policies and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 6 years industry experience or Construction Management Degree required.
