Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the management and execution of projects throughout the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout. The projects will include a diverse mix of capital and expense projects on Process, Utilities and Automation/IT (AIT) systems. The successful candidate will have frequent exposure to senior management as they execute projects that shape overall strategy and transform the site into a best-in-class Biopharmaceutical facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Project engineering of the Works.
2. Delivery of a portfolio of small – medium sized projects in accordance with the company project roadmap throughout the project lifecycle ensuring governance to current engineering standards and compliance with CDM regulations.
3. Strict GMP compliance to be adhered throughout the lifecycle of the project.
4. Coordination with the Principal Contractor and all other project team members to ensure completion to schedule.
5. Project management services to oversee the completion of snags and any construction defects identified.
6. Project management services to oversee the completion of installation, commissioning, and qualification by liaising with vendors, validation teams, and other relevant departments.
7. Weekly project progress reporting to the company Portfolio Manager.
8. Weekly project reporting to the PM Group/company Alliance Manager.
9. Management of project scope.
10. Coordination of key contractors and work elements.
11. Liaison with and management of key stakeholder expectations.
12. Monitor project budget and provide accurate monthly reports.
13. Attendance at daily update meetings.
14. Ensure compliance with all HSE & CDM requirements.
15. Ensure project delivery complies with GMP requirements and company SOPs.
16. Develop and update project schedules according to project stage-gate.
17. Identify, record, and monitor project risks, escalating as necessary.
18. Resource planning, including company resources, with timely communication when input is needed.
19. Other deliverables in line with the role of a project engineer.

Minimum qualifications include a degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline. The candidate should have junior to intermediate level experience in managing cross-functional teams, delivering complex manufacturing facility projects in a GMP environment, with full project lifecycle experience from design to C&Q and handover. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as a proven record of on-time delivery and right-first-time documentation. Experience with SAP and budgeting tools is preferred.
