Job description

x2 Project Engineers are sought for a large multi-national manufacturing company for a 12-month contract at £35 per hour inside IR35, based in Barrow-upon-Furness.

The Project Engineer / Coordinator will be responsible for delivering high standards of engineering and service support to project teams, ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time delivery of project deliverables for both internal and external customers. The role involves participating in risk analysis, continuous improvement programs, and assisting with the preparation of the final project close-out report.

The successful candidate will assist in developing project service plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring deliverables to maintain schedule through engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Providing updates on delivery status and preparing communication packs.
  • Collaborating with delivery teams, planning, and execution to track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Assisting engineering teams in evaluating manufacturing readiness and efficiency, and contributing to project scheduling.
  • Scheduling projects and developing best practices for engineering deliverables.
  • Suggesting improvements based on departmental synergies.
  • Conducting data analysis to inform business decisions and improvement projects.
