Job description

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis, located in Bridgwater.

Principal Accountabilities (Work Specifier)

The Engineer will report to the Management lead and/or OCC lead/Manager. Responsibilities may change as the project develops, and the notification area of work could shift from OCC to WM group.

• Work closely with the commissioning team to enhance the efficiency of processes and deliverables.
• Specify commissioning work order cards tailored to the tasks within commissioning.
• Resolve open points by liaising and discussing with stakeholders.
• Actively participate in OCC team meetings as required.
• Support the development of routine maintenance procedures for operational stations within the Enterprise Asset Management System.
• Collaborate with the Equipment Reliability team to understand and define routine maintenance requirements for systems on the operational station.
• Contribute to the development of the Enterprise Asset Management tool.
• Assist in developing standards, procedures, and arrangements that support safe and reliable operation and maintenance activities, in line with WANO AP928.
• Support the development and implementation of Work Management and Planning processes and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• A science and/or engineering background with a relevant degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent.
• Experience with key asset management tools such as Asset Suite, data reporting tools, and Microsoft applications.
• Experience in writing and operating maintenance instructions in a regulated industrial environment.
• Experience conducting or writing risk assessments, with familiarity with the APSA process.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Manuals, System Design Manuals, and Engineering Drawings.
• Strong organizational and IT skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience with commissioning processes or activities on a nuclear site.
• Understanding of WANO AP928 and other work management processes.
• Knowledge of nuclear power station license conditions and compliance regulations.
• Experience working on the current nuclear generation fleet.
