Project Engineer

Reed is working with a growing manufacturing and engineering company looking to add to their projects team currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to play a crucial role in liaising between various disciplines involved in theirprojects. This position involves significant engagement across multiple teams, ensuring seamless project execution and maintaining excellent client relationships.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate with the Contracts Manager and Head of Projects to interpret client requirements and ensure effective contract conclusions.
• Provide engineering support including regular design reviews, technical query management, and interface management.
• Attend and contribute to kick-off, pre-production, and regular progress meetings with subcontractors and clients.
• Coordinate project responsibilities, maintain project schedules, and manage any necessary changes or discrepancies.
• Address client queries and concerns promptly, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontractors/vendors, ensuring compliance with specifications, scope of work, and contractual terms.
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of project documentation, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in the Nuclear Industry or Oil and Gas Industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Proven project management experience and ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with peers and stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards, including ISO 9001:2015.
• Ability to travel to customer sites, including overseas.
