Job summary

Anglian Water Regionwide is hiring a Project Engineer to develop, plan and deliver its capital programme across the region. You will work with operational teams, contractors and colleagues to bring projects to life, ensuring sites and assets benefit from high-quality engineering solutions.

This role offers a 37-hour week with flexible working options, private healthcare, and a strong pension scheme. It is a great opportunity to make a difference in essential infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or membership of a professional body (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in water/wastewater environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of H&S and CDM regulations is desirable.
• Experience managing a capital budget and project planning/delivery.

Responsibilities

• Enable activities to facilitate delivery of planned/emergent capital projects.
• Develop solutions in line with governance and delivery goals.
• Ensure Water/Wastewater quality compliance of solutions.
• Complete Root Cause Analysis.
• Complete optioneering of solutions.
• Adhere to Risk and Value processes.
• Ensure standard products and technical standards are followed.
• Maintain CDM documentation and safety compliance.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for enabling activities to facilitate the delivery of planned/emergent capital projects
• Develop solutions in line with corporate governance and delivery route goals
• Ensure solutions are Water and/or Wastewater quality compliant
• Completion of Root Cause Analysis
• Complete optioneering of solutions
• Comply with the corporate Risk and Value process
• Ensure standard products and other technical standards (e.g. minimum asset standards) are adhered to
• Complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices
• Production and support completion of CDM Documentation

What does it take to be a Project Engineer?

• Appropriate engineering qualification or membership of professional body or equivalent experience
• Proven technical experience within the relevant environment (Water or Wastewater)
• Knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S), and Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations
• Experience managing a capital budget
• Experience of project planning, delivery and site supervision
• Root cause analysis to optionee suitable solutions
• Good IT literacy plus it would be desirable to have experience of M2i, SAP and Power Bi
