Job description

We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Norwich.

Location: Norwich, mixture of office/ site visits and working from home.

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

In this role, you'll be working on the Anglian Water IOS contract (integrated operational solutions) across multiple disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation, involving new construction, replacement, or repair projects in the Anglian Water region.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Engineer, you'll ensure water projects in the Norfolk area are managed successfully from inception to completion, meeting all standards, regulations, budget, and timeframes. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role where you can add value to the business and develop your career.

Your Day To Day Will Include
  • Supporting the operational/project delivery manager in delivering Anglian Water projects.
  • Assessing solutions, conducting root cause analysis considering whole life costs and business risks.
  • Developing solutions in line with governance, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Ensuring design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements are ready for construction handover.
  • Complying with all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements on site.
  • Supporting asset and cost capture in relevant systems.
What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you have:

  • A degree in engineering or equivalent, with experience as a temporary works coordinator.
  • Experience in capital project delivery, managing directly employed staff.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design Management regulations.
  • Excellent customer management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and stakeholder management experience.
  • A full driving licence.
