Project Engineer - Highway Construction - M1 Link Scheme

A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team on the M1 Link Scheme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure project that will enhance the region's transportation network.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Play a key role in the successful execution of this complex highway project, providing technical expertise and support to the construction team.
2. Assist with the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
3. Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
4. Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines.
5. Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
6. Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and cost-effective solutions.
7. Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring adherence to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

1. Highway & Structural Expertise: Proven experience as a Project Engineer on highway or road construction projects, with a strong understanding of structural engineering principles relevant to highway structures.
2. Planning Proficiency: Proficiency in using scheduling software, such as Primavera P6, to manage project plans and track progress effectively.
3. Technical Skills: A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to highway works.
4. Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
5. Safety Focus: A commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
