About the Role

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Programme Manager in the provision of safe, on-schedule, and on-budget maintenance projects within transactional service programmes in the Republic of Ireland.

  • Provide overall support to Site Management functions and responsibility for site-based work in all concerned power plants.
  • Act as the Customers’ point of contact within Mitsubishi Power, managing all internal stakeholders across numerous departments to achieve contract goals and satisfy the Customer’s requirements.

What will you do in the role?

  • Act as the main point of contact for Mitsubishi Power in front of the Customer and as an ambassador of the Customer within Mitsubishi Power.
  • Manage all aspects of onsite operation and outage, including responsibilities division on each project.
  • Handle day-to-day Customer interactions and address daily commercial and technical issues of assigned projects.
  • Support outage planning, including creating work scopes, workload planning, and post-outage activities.
  • Assist with the commercial process of Projects, such as Requests for Quotation and cost estimations for service proposals.
  • Provide first response technical support during unplanned maintenance events.
  • Support reliability programs and investigative work for component issues.
  • Lead QHSE efforts for each project, ensuring alignment with Customer’s expectations.
  • Promote continuous improvement of QHSE during operations and outages.

What are the key skills/experience you should have?

  • Experience in the power energy sector with good knowledge of large frame Steam and Gas Turbines.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Power Plants and Gas Turbines.
  • University degree or similar in Engineering, with a strong understanding of thermodynamics and power generation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • High commercial acumen, numeracy, and diplomacy skills.
