A&F Sprinklers Ltd is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer for our Repairs Division in the UK. You will lead smaller-scale sprinkler projects, coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with standards. This role suits engineers ready to step into project management with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

We're now looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to join our Repairs Division, ideally someone with a background in small works - such as shop unit fit-outs, minor refurbishments, and system alterations.

This role is perfect for an engineer ready to take the next step into project management, with 3-5 years' experience in fire protection or building services, and a strong understanding of how small-scale projects operate.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Engineer in our Repairs Division, you'll oversee the delivery of smaller-scale sprinkler system projects, including:

• Managing minor installations, system modifications, and remedial works
• Reviewing and producing technical drawings and specifications
• Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Attending site visits, client meetings, and handovers
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Preparing risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation
• Supporting junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

• 3-5 years' experience in fire protection, building services, or similar
• Familiarity with BSEN 12845, BS9251, NFPA, or FM Global standards
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., FHC)
• Revit experience is a bonus but not essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, customer-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously
