We are working with a leading Tier 2 main contractor currently delivering multiple packages on a major infrastructure project in West London. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Engineer to join their team.

The Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Project Engineer to provide crucial technical oversight and support for our critical cladding and steel packages on a major infrastructure project in West London. This role requires a deep understanding of complex construction techniques and a sharp eye for technical detail to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Design Review & Assurance: Scrutinize and validate technical designs for cladding and steel packages, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and best practices.
2. Engineering Solutions: Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and site teams to develop innovative engineering solutions for technical challenges.
3. Specification Adherence: Ensure all works comply with project specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
4. Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve technical issues on-site, providing guidance to construction teams.
5. QA/QC Implementation: Oversee quality assurance and control procedures, conducting inspections and audits.
6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation, including RFIs, queries, design changes, and reports.
7. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary technical contact for designers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
8. Method Statement Review: Review and approve method statements and risk assessments from subcontractors.
9. Health & Safety: Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.

What We're Looking For:

• Significant experience as a Project Engineer or similar for a main contractor in the UK.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects, especially with structural or architectural elements.
• In-depth technical expertise in managing cladding and steel packages.
• HNC or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office.
• Proactive in resolving technical challenges.
