A leading company in green energy is seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of innovative hydrogen and clean energy projects in the UK. This role involves bridging engineering and project management, focusing on collaboration and technical solutions to drive decarbonisation efforts. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
We’re looking for a Project Engineer to support the technical delivery of innovative green hydrogen and clean energy infrastructure projects across the UK.
This role bridges engineering and project management, making it ideal for someone who thrives on cross-functional collaboration, technical problem-solving, and driving decarbonisation forward.
Key Responsibilities
Define technical scope, work packages & project requirements
Support detailed project plans (design, construction, commissioning)
Manage drawings, technical documentation & interface registers
Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers/contractors
Monitor project risks, troubleshoot issues, and drive execution
Support commissioning and document lessons learned
What You’ll Bring
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or related)
3+ years’ experience in project engineering or similar technical delivery roles
Knowledge of greenfield/brownfield infrastructure or energy projects
Familiarity with managing OEMs and technical interfaces
Nice to Have
Experience in renewables, hydrogen, gas peakers, or BESS
Project Management certification (e.g. APM, PMP, Prince2)
Knowledge of ATEX, PED, or systems engineering
Experience working with utilities or in a design/client office
