Project Engineer
Liverpool, Merseyside with travel throughout the UK

As a Project Engineer, you will be a fundamental part of our team supporting our biodiesel and anaerobic digestion plants and our used cooking oil processing sites. You will enable us to continue with our mission to help protect the planet whilst providing engineering support, executing new equipment install and site improvement projects, being involved with streamlining the plants processes and increasing efficiency.

This role will include:

  • Managing your own projects from conception, design & budgeting through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Projects will include but are not restricted to improving production & efficiency of our plants, improving the safety of our sites, and upgrading equipment.
  • Provide technical and engineering support to site operations as required.
  • Managing internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure smooth completion of projects.
  • Supporting customer sites with engineering projects and maintaining a strong customer relationship.
  • The role will include travel to different sites to manage projects as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience we are looking for:

  • Mechanical engineering or Chemical engineering degree.
  • Proven experience of identification of plant improvements.
  • Proven experience leading improvement projects from design to commissioning in a relevant engineering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • AutoCAD experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX.
  • Knowledge of HAZOPS, LOPAs, and other safety study techniques.
  • IOSHH or NEBOSHH qualification preferable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of organisation.
