Job description

Are you a skilled Project Engineer with a passion for delivering complex engineering solutions in high integrity environments?

Join our client’s Engineering & Technical Solutions team at Sizewell B, one of the UK’s leading nuclear power stations, and play a vital role in the safe and efficient delivery of critical infrastructure projects.

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of multidisciplinary projects, ensuring technical excellence from feasibility through to commissioning:

  • Lead the production and management of engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications
  • Manage technical queries and stakeholder interfaces across projects
  • Support contractor selection, tendering, and contract award processes
  • Perform technical reviews of contractor designs, drawings, and documentation
  • Conduct site surveys, feasibility assessments, and engineering investigations
  • Prepare Engineering Changes and commissioning plans
  • Support the Project and Construction Managers in delivering projects safely, on time, and within scope

We’re seeking a confident and capable engineer who brings:

  • HND or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
  • SMSTS qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and site-based project delivery
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience working on complex infrastructure projects – power generation or nuclear experience is a bonus
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and commissioning practices is highly desirable

Project management qualifications (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) .

Security Clearance (SC): All candidates must either hold current SC clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process as a condition of employment.
