An established engineering and fabrication business in Hull is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable organisation involved in large-scale fabrication and engineering projects across multiple sectors including oil & gas, renewables, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to specification

Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project progress and technical updates

Prepare and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation

Support procurement processes, ensuring the correct materials and components are sourced in line with project requirements

Liaise with workshop and production teams to ensure build accuracy and resolve any engineering queries

Conduct site visits and inspections where necessary

Monitor and report on project performance, including timelines, cost control, and risk management

Requirements:

Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Proven experience in a project engineering or similar role within heavy engineering or fabrication

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and fabrication methods

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Proficient in MS Office; experience with CAD or project management software is an advantage

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
