Qualifications

ROLE: Project Engineer - Recycling Facility Construction
HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
SALARY: up to GBP50,000 per annum, Fixed Term Contract (for project duration)

We are delighted to be recruiting a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to support the design, construction, and commissioning of a new state-of-the-art recycling manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and delivering the project on time and within budget.

WHAT OUR PROJECT ENGINEER WILL DO:
  • Manage the lifecycle of key strategic projects
  • Co-ordinate all project aspects from budget, plans, schedules, and processes
  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of a facility construction project
  • Co-ordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issues
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Support procurement of equipment and materials
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of machinery and systems
  • Maintain project documentation and technical records

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR PROJECT ENGINEERS:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
  • 3+ years of experience within industrial or manufacturing construction projects
  • Knowledge of recycling processes or environmental engineering is a plus
  • Proficiency in project management tools and CAD software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience with sustainability-focused projects could be an advantage
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for waste management and recycling could be an advantage
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification
