Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead long-duration, complex projects and ensure on-time delivery of manufactured parts per plan. You will work with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to achieve project objectives while reporting progress and KPIs through SAP.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/manufacturing degree, strong organisational skills and experience with MS Office, MS Project and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience in project management and engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in customer management and bids/wins.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the programme plan and risk matrices.
• Mitigate risks where possible and ensure adherence to plans.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure plans are followed.
• Work with customer-facing project managers to align plans and methodologies.
• Manage changes to scope and schedule using appropriate techniques.
• Establish and maintain relationships with sub-suppliers/third parties.
• Coordinate communication across business functions and hold leads accountable.
• Focus on monthly milestones while keeping long-term strategic view.
• Lead internal manufacturing meetings as the key point of contact.
• Report and escalate project status internally as needed.
• Maintain KPI dashboards and SAP-based reporting.
• Coordinate customer witness points as per IPT.
• Maintain traceability spreadsheets for manufactured parts.

Quest Global are seeking a highly skilled and experience Project Engineer. PE responsible to manage, monitor and report the delivery of long-duration, complex Projects. This role ensures that ensure that all manufactured parts are delivered in accordance with the project plan, supporting internal stake holders. The project Engineer works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the programme plan and risk matrices.
• Work to mitigate risks where possible.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure that project plans are adhered to
• Work with the customer facing project managers to ensure alignment of plans, tools and methodologies.
• Manage changes to the project scope and schedule using appropriate techniques.
• Establish and maintain relationships with sub suppliers/third parties.
• Coordinate communication and work between the various business functions.
• Hold various business function leads accountable for plan and milestone adherence.
• Focus on achieving monthly milestones whilst maintaining a longer-term strategic view.
• Be the key point of contact and lead for internal manufacturing meetings.
• Report and elevate as appropriate on project status internally.
• Maintain business and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Business Systems (SAP).
• Organise and co-ordinate customer witness points, as per IPT.
• Maintain traceability spreadsheet for all manufactured parts.

Work Experience

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Mechanical engineering/Manufacturing background is essential
• Heavy Engineering background
• Fully proficient on MS Office and MS Project
• Experienced and competent SAP user
• Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing experience
• Strong organisational skills: multi-tasking, time management, planning

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing
• Experience in project management and engineering
• Strong organisation skills and ability to report upwards to Board level - strong communication skills, confident interacting with a range of stakeholders
• Experience at customer management and business development practices - creating bids, winning bids
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of forming and maintaining effective relationships, throughout the business and stakeholder community
