Qualifications

Job description

Role: Mechanical Project Engineer

Salary: GBP 28,000: GBP 45,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you're looking for)

Type: Permanent

Location: West Sussex

My client design and manufacture a range of products for the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors and they are looking to take on a Project Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the West Sussex area.

The Project Engineer Will Ideally Have The Following Attributes

: Be Degree/ HND/ HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar (Or qualified by experiencewith strong Project Engineering skills having worked in a technical environment)

: 2 years or more of industry experience would be desirable working in a similar project role

: Have the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget

: Very good attention to detail

: Confident in your own Engineering knowledge and skills

: Knowledge of CAD software and also Microsoft Office programmes (MS Excel/ MS Project) would be an advantage

: Excellent communication skills

: Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team

: Flexibility to travel as required as a large part of the role to customer sites, both in the UK and abroad

The Project Engineer Role Will Involve

: Working within the companies Projects Department under a Project Manager

: Supporting important company contracts (engineering, material supply and quality control)

: Working on the co:ordination and execution of projects

: Working closely with site management teams

: Reviewing sub:contractor bids including the technical aspects

: Reviewing drawings

: Drafting purchase order specifications for equipment and material purchase

: Travel in both the UK and Worldwide as the job requires to meet clients
